20 senior executives from 14 domestic famous companies attended Sino-Japan Agrochemical Companies Exchange Meeting with 22 Japanese counterpart on local agrochemical markets, registration regulation updates and sales, etc. In an addition, the delegation had a visit to Kumiai Chemical (Tatsuno Factory), Nihon Nohyakau (Saga Factory) and Sumitomo Chemical (Oita Factory ).
Representatives of 13 well-known manufactures from Zhejiang, Jiangsu, Shandong and Shanghai provinces attended this business tour. They communicated with local related governments including Ministry of Agriculture, Ministry of Chemistry and Ministry of Commerce, and also met with 23 local companies in a Buyer-Seller Meeting in Mumbai.
During 2-week visit, 16 corporation CEOs visited USDA (U.S. Department of Agriculture) & Environmental Protection Agency, Crop Life America, the Agrochemical Applications Center of AkzoNobel, along with detailed presentations by McKenna Long & Aldridge LLP on how Chinese pesticide products can enter American market.
Understanding the Local Market: Invited by Ministry of Agriculture in Ukraine & Agro-Soyuz, the delegation visited departments related to the management of agrochemical registration and local research institutes, etc.
Field Investigation: Visiting farms and Learning the actual application of pesticides in local areas.
The delegation (51 members) attended BCPC Congress 2009 in Glasgow, UK, followed by visits with local GLP laboratory and agrochemical companies in Spain and Portugal.
