Feel the Charming of Myanmar and Share Development Opportunities

On November 6, ACE Myanmar 2018, sponsored by CCPIA opened in Yangon, Myanmar. Leaders and guests from the Economic and Commercial Counsellor’s Office of the Chinese Embassy in Myanmar, Ministry of agriculture, livestock and irrigation department of agriculture plant protection division in Myanmar, Myanmar of Fruit, Flower and Vegetable and Producer and Exporter Association (MFVP) were invited to attend the opening ceremony and give speeches. Guo Wei, Deputy Secretary-General of CCPIA, delivered a speech on behalf of the organizers at the opening ceremony.

As the sole professional exhibition of agrochemical industry in Myanmar, since 2013, the exhibition has been successfully held in the cities of Yangon, Naypyitaw and Mandalay in Myanmar, and has spared no effort to pave the way for Chinese agrochemical enterprises to develop and the expand the Myanmar market. After 6 years of hard efforts, the exhibition has developed into a leading professional exhibition of agricultural chemicals in Myanmar, and its influence in Myanmar has been expanding and radiating to neighboring countries in Myanmar.

The exhibition has received sustained and vigorous support from the Ministry of agriculture, livestock and irrigation department of agriculture plant protection division in Myanmar. It is also highly valued and actively participated by people from relevant industries. It attracts local agricultural growers, agricultural producers, wholesalers, importers and exporters from Myanmar to visit and negotiate. At this exhibition, 53 exhibitors from China, Myanmar and Vietnam made brilliant appearances, focusing on displaying and promoting pesticides, fertilizers, packaging, trade and services adapted to the needs of Myanmar’s agrochemical market. On the first day of the exhibition, 700 professional audiences attended the exhibition, and the exhibition hall was crowded with people and the atmosphere of negotiation was warm.

In order to enhance the exhibitor’s participation effect and promote precision trade docking, this exhibition further strengthened the promotion channels and invitations in terms of buyer’s invitation, which has achieved good results. At the same time as the trade show, a wonderful forum was held. The forum was hosted by Dr. Zhu Weijuan, Director of the Public Relations Department of CCPIA, and invited Ministry of agriculture, livestock and irrigation department of agriculture plant protection division in Myanmar, and the Myanmar of Fruit, Flower and Vegetable and Producer and Exporter Association (MFVP) to introduce Myanmar’s latest pesticide registration policy and development of Myanmar’s planting pesticides. The above two invited units, on behalf of the Myanmar Pesticide Management Agency and Myanmar’s important pesticide users, highlighted in the report that in recent years, through continuous cooperation with CCPIA, more and more high-quality pesticides from China will continue to be introduced and promoted in the Myanmar market, and Chinese pesticide products and pesticide brands are increasingly being welcomed by Myanmar farmers. At the same time, it also introduced the large-scale regular procurement tendering of pesticides and fertilizers under the cooperation of CCPIA and the Myanmar of Fruit, Flower and Vegetable and Producer and Exporter Association (MFVP).

The forum also invites exhibitors such as Myanmar Shwe Thein Trading Co., Ltd., Myanmar Byter Agricultural Tech Co., Ltd., Jinan Tianyu Agricultural Technology Co., Ltd. and Shandong Ztser Biological Technology Co., Ltd. to share information and experience on pesticides and fertilizers registration and market in their areas of expertise, so as to effectively provide strong supports to the enterprises for business landing and channel expansion in Myanmar market.

In addition, special pr-exhibition visits to Myanmar dealers, agricultural retail stores and on-the-spot inspection of crop cultivation and pesticide application in Myanmar are arranged to increase enterprises’ understanding of the actual needs of local products and new trends in market development.
